My girlfriend might get revenge-porn'd by her ex from a couple years ago who's suddenly feverishly trying to contact her and seems to have lost his mind.
I know there isn't really shit we can do about it but any advice or stories are welcome.

Unless there's a law against it in your area (state, province, whatever). Look into it.
Also if he threatens it with an attached demand, that's immediately illegal everywhere.

Not irreparably. If the porn is hosted on a site over which your country has jurisdiction, the involvement of law enforcement would be a necessary and meaningful step in having them take it down. It's not nearly as harmful for the pics/vids to be distributed on a small scale. It's when they're hosted on major sites that the real issues arise.
Prosecution would make you guys feel good but right now the primary concern is limiting the practical consequences.

He's just a krazy-ass nerdboy who's really hung up on her because she casually dated him for a couple months and he hasn't gotten anything before or since. He hasn't stopped talking about her since the breakup but he's only now hit a point where he's resorting to threatening her.

We're much more interested in the stuff simply not being distributed in the first place, rather than legal options for if/when it does. Plus we're fairly certain he'd send it privately to family members/friends/etc, not upload it to ___tube.
Problem is there's just not much we can do in that regard.

That's the most fundamental concern with giving others nude pics in general, though. What advice were you really expecting beside "build a time machine and go back to help your girlfriend make better decisions?"
I'm talking about the legal options because that's actually something that you can address. It's a waste of time for us to sit here pointing out the obvious issues with bad life choices.

Yeah but for a variety of reasons it's just inherently a lot less damaging to a man's reputation to have dick pics leaked than for a woman to leak nudes.
