In college rn. Got back from spring break and decided to take the Monday return day off. Turns out I dun goofed and missed a midterm exam and it's 20% of my grade. My teacher said he could only let me do a makeup exam if I had viable excuse like a doctor's note or something; doesn't really matter just wants to avoid having his higher ups ride him. So the hunt for a doctor's note was on. Tried the two clinic's by me. One couldn't and one wouldn't. So what's another way to get a viable excuse note for a missing a college class? The only other thing I can think of is a religious note but idunno.

there's the classic 'my grandmother died' or my cat died' excuse.

honestly though the rules exist exactly so that people can't get around them easily.
