I want to set up an accurate and presentable resume, but the amount of trouble that listing qualities and skills gives me is ridiculous. I'm unlikeable, incompetent and suffering low self-esteem, and I really don't know how to find the positive qualities I have that DO make me someone worth hiring. I'm not a robot or frogposter. I just need to know where to look.

So in short, I need some advice on introspection. Anyone here able to give that? How do you find the positive things about yourself?

Take a look at lists of skills and qualities employers look for. See which of those apply to you. Things like 'good research skills' or 'strong verbal communication skills' or 'good time management/self-management'

Even if you have low self esteem, you're going to have to sell yourself anyway. Bragging is exactly what you're supposed to do on a resume. You don't have to sound so self centered/ prideful during the interview.
