So I was recently separated from my boyfriend (by things outside our relationship i.e. jobs, schools, etc to save our sanity) and I just found out his dad died from cancer. How should I console him? It doesn't seem like he wants to talk to me (since he didn't contact me about it I asked after seeing a post on social media) but I'm not sure what to do. I know that's he's grieving and he might want to be alone, but is there anything I should do? He personally told me it was too late. I don't know whether I should give him space and let him be or try to contact him or bring him anything. I want to be there for him and help his family out but I don't know what to say in this situation or how to help.

Sadly, let him and his family grieve. You're not married so you're not obliged to him or his family. Seems toe regards and that's it.
It's going to hurt him more if you stick around.
