Do not use that shit on your face. It's a scrub, meaning it's an abrasive exfoliant. When you've soaked your skin in a bath or shower, rub it gently on your skin to remove excess particles. Don't scrape too hard because you could hurt yourself and bleed, depending on how large the granules are.

You use it to scrub, so no, you don't have to let it sit. It will likely dissolve in the water by the time you've let it sit and won't work. Can't you just google how a body scrub works?
