I was a virgin by choice 'til 24 because I was waiting for the right girl. Thought I met someone that could be her, and it didn't work out, so I just said fuck it, started to date, and slept with the first girl I met.
Couple years later i'm in my first real, long term relationship and I truly love her.
Honestly, looking back I had some pretty flawed ideologies based off pure naivety. Throwing myself in to the dating world opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn't know about myself.
But I'll say even from the get go even I knew, that porn =/= real life sex.

This is bait, obviously, but I'll reply anyway, because this is a fun topic for me. To me sex is at its absolute best when it's dirty, intense, and yeah, a little degrading, but the dynamic shifts totally back to normal as soon as we leave the bedroom. I can slap my girlfriend in the face, grab her hair, call her a slut, and so on, but as soon as we've cleaned up afterwards I'm back to pulling out her chair for her and holding doors open for her and we're making everybody else roll their eyes by being a little too cutesy-cuddly at dinner, with nobody suspecting a thing. The contrast between the two sides of our relationship enhances them both.
It's not like I think being into sorta rough sex is particularly novel, but I've never understood the people who carry that dom/sub shit into every aspect of their relationships. Different strokes and all that, but to me that would completely ruin the whole thing. Seeing the girl you respect and adore do a complete 180 personality shift in a matter of seconds (and getting to do one yourself) is more than half the fun.
