I stopped shampooing and conditioning over a month ago in hopes it would fix my dandruff. I just started getting it in November for the first time. So today I wanted to see how much I have, and still its a lot. Here are 3 pictures. 1 is me brushing my hair onto this dark colored table. So 1 side is with the dandruff and 1 side is without it. What do you guys think? What do I do?

Altogether
>>
1. Go to drug store.
2. Buy anti-dandruff shampoo.
3. ?
4. Profit!
>>
Buy anti-dandruff shampoo and coconut oil.
>>
Mix baking soda and lemon juice to make a paste/homemade shampoo (one part lemon two parts baking soda)
Massage it into your scalp for a few minutes, give it a good scrub
Let it sit on your scalp for five minutes
Rinse with a two part water, one part Apple cider vinegar mixture
Rinse again with water

Do this two or three times a week. How thick is your hair? I know a lot of people rave about "no shampoo, my hair regulates itself" but your hair type really factors into the health of your scalp.

Get head and shoulders, its what my father uses...

Also

Excessive flaking may be caused by an underlying illness or condition, such as psoriasis, a fungal infection (Malassezia), seborrheic dermatitis...

Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is a severe form of dandruff. When it affects the scalp most people refer to it as dandruff. When babies have it, it is referred to as cradle cap. Seborrheic dermatitis causes larger, greasier flakes than most other types of dandruff. Seborrheic dermatitis affects not only the scalp, but the skin in other parts of the body too.

My hair is super thick

Yeah it just started in november and I've never had it in my life before that. Idk what to do. I tried no hair product at all and that's okay I just have to shower every single day because my hair gets greasy and its tough to rinse cuz its so thick
>>
Wtf dude? Stop shampooing, sure, but you need to condition.

I use the trader joe's tingle conditioner as a co-wash, meaning it's my shampoo and conditioner.

Dandruff is caused by dry scalp. No conditioning = dry scalp.

Get a cowash and moisturize your scalp with coconut oil after showers.

Dandruff shampoo sometimes works, but can dry out your scalp further and give you more dandruff.

1. Just like chicken pocks... don't scratch.
2. Use moisture enriched shampoo not dandruff shampoo.
3. Shampoo both your hair and scalp but only condition hair not scalp.

Give it about a week and remember don't scratch or pick at your hair.

I have coconut oil but I heard its a meme

Trump is a meme too but he's still amazing.

Coconut oil is awesome. Great for making popcorn, moisturizing your skin, rubbing on your scalp, you can even use it as lube.

i used to have a lot of dandruff but i stopped scratching my head and i went to my drugstore to buy a shampoo for this. Eventually i stopped using it and changed to head and shoulders and it's practically gone

I just wana fix this dry scalp for good
>>

So use conditioner mate. When you condition your hair, massage your scalp for at least five minutes. Don't put it in and rinse it out within thirty seconds, it will have almost zero effect.
