I just discovered that my sister draws copious amounts of very extreme furry porn all day and I don't know how to feel (maybe a little bit angry).
I am posting here because I feel like I need to talk about it but telling my mum would hurt her and if my sister knew I knew she would be hysterically upset.
I have nothing against porn. I look at it myself but she is literally spending her entire time drawing it. How do I know? This is the first part of the story, now for just a little history. I had a huge fight with her 6 months back, her bedroom is next to mine and we haven't spoken a word to each other since. I won't go into details but I was super, super depressed, problems sleeping and anxiety, I was trying hard to land my first job. My hair was falling out due to stress. I can't tell you how bad it was. She judges me because I've had a hard time. I feel like this in a way relates to how I feel about the porn thing. I'm feeling pretty lost at the moment.

About the job thing. I have been aiming for a particular type of job and it's really competitive. I have been working very hard (I have another interview soon). I work in retail while I look but my family are disappointed I haven't landed a career yet. Everyone has expected a lot from me since I was considered 'gifted' and these expectations have weighed on my heavily upon me.

Odds are, she'll be defensive about it, and if she is, it probably means deep down, she knows there's something wrong about it, in which case I would press her to be honest about it. Does she feel like she's missing out on the rest of life, doing this? You're sisters after all, if you can't trust each other, why are you even trying?

Op you never really got into the whole fight thing but by your description of her, it seems you are angry that she doesnt care. Doesnt care about her current life situation of being mostly a shut-in. Doesnt care that you had a bad time with you job hunt.
In a way, I am like her. I find it real hard to show that I care about something if there is nothing I can do about it (talking about your situation). As for her own life situation, she might be depressed. Shut ins usually feel safe and at ease in their room just wasting all day on the net. Its their comfort zone. Normally I rely on my friends to get out of said comfort zone.
Try to patch things up with her. Show her that even if you dont like furry porn, you can still give her advice if something looks good. If her art is good enough, try to get her to make comissions and earn money that way.
