Anyone here had a viral chest infection before? I went to the doc and he told me to just deal with it (as i expected).

I don't care about the coughing, but i can't handle this fucking CONSTANT build up of mucus in my throat every fucking second and the sound it makes when i try and breathe.

Does anyone know how how long it takes to clear or any remedies that will give one ONE. FUCKING. NIGHTS. SLEEP?

Taking an expectorant like Mucinex may help.

drink a shit-ton of hot tea, you might have to pee but it's better than nothing

ginger and mint are good if you have them, but really it's the heat and liquid you need

Alright I'll try this. What about the recovery period? What am i looking at? I've been coughing and unable to sleep for a good 5 days now.
