You have a live insect inside your ear canal. It'll probably rupture your ear drum at night and you'll cry like a bitch.

Don't wait it out man. I made that mistake a few years ago and blew out my eardrum. Was out of work for a week because my ear hurt so bad.

chorda tympani, the nerve that carrier sensation of spice/hot from the mouth, runs across the tympanic membrane.
that means if you are something spicy, you might have residual sensation from the taste and it might not a middle ear infection
really you should clear this up with a practicing physician though.
do take precautions against ear infection
I've actually had a big ball of wax fall out of my ear before. Another time my gf pulled one out for me with tweezers. If it feels like there's something loose and rattling in there, it could be that. Have someone look with a flashlight.

whatever you fucking do, DO NOT wait it out. It will get far fucking worse. Take it from someone who put it off and had an ear infection so fucking bad my eardrum blew and I just had to suffer through it.
