Does anybody know about whether or not traffic tickets follow

Does anybody know about whether or not traffic tickets follow you across state borders? I got a stupid speeding ticket in NC, where I've been living for a few years, but I'm leaving in the next week to live in my home state where I'm still a legal resident. If I don't pay it, will it be able to follow me? The reason I'm against paying it is two fold; first it was a chickenshit ticket, sort of. Second is that in my move, I'm going to have a 4 week period between paychecks and paying the fine would make it way harder right now.

Yes. There's a database for these things. They won't arrest you, but you won't be able to renew your license.

It depends on if the states have "reciprocity". Most do, but far apart ones sometimes don't.
