I have a red spot on my glans of my penis. The skin on my shaft hurts sometimes, and i have tingling sensations.
i got tested for herpes but it came back negative.
See an STD specialist (yes, they exist, they're the lowest-paid sort of doctor) or a urologist.
You may have to get referred to one by your GP.

Where did you get tested and how did they do it? Did they test for both HSV1 and 2?

I got tested for HSV 1 and 2
my hsv 2 came back as 0.04
and hsv 1 came back as 0.1
ive got an itchy anus, as well as some itching and tingling, but i havent had any ulcerations.so im mostly not concerned about herpes at this point, but the sensations and symptoms im feeling makes me feel like something is happening.

Did they take a blood sample or do a skin swab of the area?

there was nothing that showed up that could have been swabbed. I never got ulcers that oozed or scabbed over. I got the Igm blood test.
