This may sound weird but here it is:

I can't tell colors

I don't think I'm color blind though, I can tell I'm looking at two different colors when put side by side, but I sometimes can't distinguish a color when I see it.

For example; I would look at a piece of clothing and I wouldn't be able to tell what the name of the color is.

Am I color blind in denial or retarded or is it something else?

any advice?

Maybe

Definitely not

Unfortunately it's pretty easy to to know you're not color blind, but not always easy to understand that you are. (My mom's ex boyfriend was obviously color blind, but insisted he wasn't). After all, your experience with senses is completely subjective.

This sounds like a job for a neurologist. I'd start with telling your doctor and go from there.

look up an online colorblindness test. this might be able to give you an idea

maybe you arent colorblind but experience color differently like someone with synesthesia (which is really cool)

There are different types of colorblindness. Go to an eye doctor.
