Pretty much this. You cannot get friends without meeting people, and you need a place to do that. Work and school aren't the only places you can meet people, but one way or another, you will have to leave the house.

Where do I go after leaving the house if I don't go to school/work? I don't like bars or parties. I went to a library, but everyone usually just reads their own book there and never talks to each other.
