Is nofap a bunch of bullshit or legit?
>>
what's nofap???
>>
>>16773180
The act of not fapping for heaps of benefits apparently. Its got a big subreddit that circlejerks about it.
>>
Legit.
>>
It doesn't give you any health benefits.
>>
>>16773188
What about the social type benefits? I've got insane social anxiety and some of the shit written about nofap seemed pretty convincing.
>>
Studies show that routine masturbation can have a small effect how your brain processes rewards, so going nofap may reverse that effect. The grand claims of the nofappers are most likely bullshit though.
>>
>>16773197
Would you say that excessive computer use and lack of exercise also affect brain-reward stuff?
I'm thinking of kicking those habits as well.
>>
Long story short: it's legit.
>>
>>16773177
Its all bullshit. They just like to blame their problems on fapping. It's a placebo.
>>
Legit
>>
>>16773207
I want the long story fa-m
>>
Bullshit, unless you have a death grip problem. It just makes you hornyer
>>
>>16773177
It gives you back the time that you'd normally spend choking your chicken. Might have a really good (and maybe quick) load when you finally get down to business.

Do people really think those bible-toting no-fappers are massively enraged with hormones? I can't really say it'd do much chemically. Or not noticeably, anyway.
>>
>>16773204
yes, lack of exercise especially
>>
It keeps your testosterone levels high making you more dominate and gives you a stronger musk.
>>
>>16773227
where would you say I should start with exercising? Don't suggest gym pls cause social anxiety.
>>
>>16773233
personal trainer.
>>
>>16773239
eh, any other suggestions?
>>
>>16773233
Get some dumbbells off of craigslist. You can do a lot of different exercises with a set of 10,15,25's for relatively cheap.

Get a rack/bench later, a bar, and some more weights to diversify your workout.

Do you even lift?

It's awesome. Currently running nofap2016 and it's done wonders for me. I can't stop thinking about sex and I've been more motivated than ever to pursue relationships. Those people that say sexual inclination drops off after a week are wrong.

I started going to the gym when I started nofap as well. I was afraid I'd get laughed at but that didn't stop me. Just do some research on your workouts and go in there and just do it. You figure out what you can do, what you can't do, and what you should do really quickly if you're diligent- and no one cares, really, I went in and did weighted situps once by putting my feet under a bench in the freeweight room while clutching a stupid heavy dumbbell at my chest and didn't get shit from anyone. You just find better ways to do things, all you gotta do is try and be keen on what's working and what isn't.
>>
Nofap is misunderstood. Of course it's okay to fap, but only when you need to. Like when you're about to jizz your pants.

In your twenties, don't fap more than once every four days.

As you get older, cum less often.

Pros of nofap:
More energy, improved mood, increased ability to flirt, less anxiety, more confidence, perform better both in bed and with skills/hobbies, improved body odor, deeper voice, muscle mass grows faster, less likely to get sick, better overall health.

Cons of too much fapping;

Erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, premature ejaculation, low mood and energy, depression, loss of ambitions, and more.

Why do you always come into nofap threads? Why are you so adament about fapping?

You're probably one of these guys: "oh look a study shows fapping prevents cancer..time for my third fap of the day! God I want a girlfriend."
>>
>>16773367
I've been fapping every day for 10+ years. I don't have ed, depression, loss of ambition, or any of that other bullshit you listed. Fuck your no fap / brain on porn bullshit.
>>
>>16773398

Not everyone's body is the same friendo.
>>
>>16773398
You sound pretty irritable and emotional, you should try nofap. You could use some testosterone
>>
>>16773398
Seconded.

I'm sure there is a very small percent of those who are afflicted with those things from jerking off too much, but I would really think for the rest that their issues stem from other deep rooted problems. I guess it's just easy to blame it on jerking off.
>>
Alright, I'll share my experience.

>be me 2-3 years ago
>decided to try nofap to see if I could go through with it.
>week 1 and 2 are fine.
>week 3 started watching porn because I was feeling horny all the time.
>didn't touch myself, just looking.
>week 4 was hell.
>the situation got out of hand when I stupidly decided to relieve my frustration by edging.
>the pain, oh god the pain.
>somehow managed not to cum for the entire month.
>feeling good about reaching such a milestone I wanted to celebrate.
>fap
>best orgasm I ever had. Eyes rolled back, legs tensing up.
>go clean myself.
>clean penis.
>clean balls.
>can't find my balls.
>where are my balls.
>WHAT THE FUCK, MY BALLS DISAPPEARED.
>I was panicking real bad, felt like fainting.
>I could feel two little lumps IN my crotch.
>try pushing, my balls drop.
>experience puberty a second time.
>went to a doctor to get everything checked. I'm fine.
>turns out the groin has two pockets that usually close after puberty, mine didn't.
>the muscles that lift and drop the testicles spasmed so hard that my balls got into those pockets.

And that's how I learned how trannies tuck in their testicles.
It was still the best orgasm I have ever had.

When was the last time you went a week without fapping?

If you don't know when you're in a rut, then you think you're doing well.

Try going a week without fapping then come back and let us know if fapping really doesn't drain your energy.
>>
I went probably 3 weeks without jerking it, nothing changed.
>>
>>16773316
Do you even lift bro
>>
>>16773436
>nothing changed

Bullshit my dude, I've never met a single person IRL who said that reducing their fapping didn't improve their life.

If you're lying and secretly a fapboy, I advise you to quit the habit
>>
>>16773427
This is awesome. Didn't fap like whatsoever when on opiates for 2 years and whenever I got sick I'd get so horny whenever I came my balls went up into me. Now that I'm on methadone and fap maybe once or twice a month my balls go up inside me each and everytime. It freaks me out I really hate it it's uncomfortable.
>>
>>16773452
Why does this happen? Heroin made me do this too.
>>
>>16773455
Couldn't say exactly. I know opiates will slow dowm everything dowm there and when you go sick you get super horny cause everything is working. Same reason you get so much snot, sweat and yawn a lot, because opiates dry you up. Everything starts again when sick. Whenever I push at the side of my sac my ball drops and it freaks me out
>>
>>16773452
This is sexy
>>
It's all placebo, you hear good things, you expect good things, then you realize the only thing that changed is that you're not jerking off.

Not masturbating because broscientists says it's good mean jackshit, these guys bought into a meme (Google the definition of meme before you try to discredit this post).

What you want is to find the MOTIVATION, AMBITION and DESIRE to do shit.

Nofap isn't going to magically give you these things.

Do you see super religious folks who view sex as something sacred running around like dogs on heat?
>>
I went 54 days during the winter w/o fapping. I'm in my mid 30s.
Benefits:
LOT more motivated in several areas. Working out, cleaning around the house, took more chances w/ women out of my league. Stabilized mood.
Erections like I was back in HS

Negatives:
Sex was on my my mind 24/7 after 3 weeks
Erections like when I was back in HS.

1st nut was inside a girl that was a 21 yo 10 hottie. Very euphoric, top 3 orgasm. Held out for 7-8 minutes of sex, once the flood gate opened, HOLY SHIT. Blacked out for the first few seconds. Said she's never felt a load like that.

I'd recommend doing it for a month at least once in your life. It's a good reboot in many aspects of your life.
>>
It is total bullshit, but it does have benefits.
>>
>>16773177
>>16773194

I can't speak for the whole thing, I haven't been fapping due to lack of privacy, and the increased libido is making me way more proactive than I used to be about trying to meet women.

The flip side of that is I'm learning the true meaning of "sexual frustration". I'm so fucking pissed right now.
>>
>>16773707
Ugh I'm pissed too bro. Been doing nofap, the benefits are great. More energy, better mood, more ambition to work hard.

But lately my gf is almost always tired or too sick for sex.
>>
i had boners all the time. sometimes that was a good thing, sometimes a nuisance

that's the only thing i noted
>>
>>16773177
It's a good exercise in self control but a lot of the supposed benefits of no fap seem like complete bullshit, especially when there are studies that seem to support the idea that masturbation promotes good prostate health.

Masturbate or don't, it's up to you. But don't stay away from it because of what some loons on the Internet say. But also don't become so obsessed with masturbation that you're putting things off just to do it.
>>
>>16773233
You don't fucking talk to people in the gym you tard. Most people leave you alone and you can easily weasel out of a conversation if it somehow arises
>>
>>16773177

I'd be extremely surprised if any of the supposed benefits of fapping or not fapping, except for maybe the prostate-related stuff with the occassional fap, are anything other than a fucking steaming mountain of horseshit.

Having said that, I'd recommend the so-called nofap if someone is addicted to masturbation. What I mean by addiction is not frequency mind you - someone could (at least in my understanding) theoretically be jerking it once or twice almost every day if they simply feel like it and not be addicted, but if you feel like you NEED to masturbate at least once to get through the day, that is a problem. It probably means you aren't very fulfilled with other activities in your life. Saying so, if this is the case for you, and the changes in brain chemistry from not fapping motivate you to improve your lifestyle, I would say go for it.
>>
>>16773494

You're almost right, but the thing is that sex addiction is a real mental condition that has a significant emotional/psychological impact. Like all addictions, if you have to whack off 3 times a day or whatever, it dulls your motivation/ambition/desire to do other shit, so in this case, if one can draw up enough motivation at the very start to force themselves not to jerk, the resulting change in their mental state can bring their motivation back.

However, I would only say that nofap is good IF a person tries it and it happens to result in increased motivation - everyone's brain is different obviously. If it doesn't actually do anything and the person is just sitting at their computer suffering for weeks, there's not really any point to it then.
>>
>>16773177
Depends on who you are.

Are you a sex addict? Nofap will save you loads of time and chafing.

Are you a person with a normal libido? Nofap will be a dubiously useful exercise in self discipline. Never a bad thing, but don't expect too much.
>>
>>16773177
I havent fapped in 2016 yet. Wanna some advice
>>
It works for me.
