OP, you need to start reading your history and looking at what is good and interesting about it. You also need to travel more. I am Irish. For a long time, I wished that I had a more interesting culture for similar reasons to you. However, after spending some time travelling and meeting people of other cultures, I began to appreciate my own.
When you meet people in other countries, the first thing they do is ask where you are from. After that, they usually have more questions about your home country. That alone, makes you want to find out more about your history and culture. It often surprises me how interested other nationalities are in Irish culture.
