Would you meet someone you met on 4chan in real life? If no, then why not?
I have multiple times. My advice is to be patient, cautious and attentive to your gut feelings. Be especially careful with how much personal information you give even after meeting. There's nothing wrong with introducing yourself with a middle name or nickname, for example. Remember that this is 4chan. Horrid things have happened here.

after that i threw a /b/irthday party when i had no real life friends one year. had two seperate parties, one with some guys at hardrock, one at home just a few guys playin vidya.
next year i did it again but i started advertising early, it was like 16 people it was crazy. met a few guys in between as well.

he was this geeky not really attractive type. he decided he wanted to crash at my place because he lived farther towards the edge of LA county and it'd take him like 2 hours to get home so i said fine, but he kept trying to make moves on me and i kept saying no.
at the end his logic became 'if you dont want to have sex with me, then why are you talking to me'.

yep, the dudes from /o/ and /ck/ are the COOLEST. People from /fa/ don't know how to have fun. /cgl/ girls in particular are passive digressive. /fit/ guys are total fucking bros as you would assume them to be. I only met a single dude from /a/ and he was an engineer but really arrogant. Wish I could meet some people from /p/

Is it impossible to stay within your comfort zone and still find someone else like that?
