Marcus Aurelius got me out of years of depression when I was 21 and first read him and discovered stoicism in general.
Now engaged and co own a small company and things are going well.
Honestly don't know where I'd be without having come across it.

She has a somewhat male brain for lack of better words, she's a physics major, and in my experience women and physics don't mix well so it seems worth a shot.

In all seriousness, The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. One of the first books I really got into.
Wouldn't say changed my life but it certainly makes you appreciate what you have, even if that's only a little.

As cheesey as it may seem, it's a very powerful manual to opening yourself up, trusting yourself confidently, and forming your true self.

Haha i read that book. It's nice, but in the end you still need to take action in your life. Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus tell you ecactly where to cram your books, and your preparations to try, and 'waiting until you're feeling ready,' and studying uplifting words instead of taking uplifting actions.
