You can't. IQ tests inherently exist in a vacuum, they can't be reliably applied to developmental analysis.
A shrink gave me an IQ test back when I was 13 years old. I scored a 138 at the time but since then I've done a lot of drinking and a lot of drugs... I expect it to be much lower now...

I was administered a test by a proper shrink when I was in middle school and mine was pegged at 163. Extrapolating from there, it's over 350 now.

It does change dramatically with age in average people. Pic related. Anyway, there are two types of intelligence "crystallized" and "fluid." Crystallized is your knowledge and tends to increase with age. "Fluid" is your IQ, generally thought to measure working memory / ability to recognize patterns. It allows you to learn faster because you can "connect the dots" and we learn through association, so you are right on that count.

Are you saying that an IQ test is the only way to predict someone's success? Cause I can't tell you how many people I know with an IQ of 130+ who aren't successful. Even by their own personal definitions of success. Ever heard of "Book smart doesn't mean street smart."? It's true.
