Haha, tell that to the thousands of people that have put drinking behind them because of AA. Even if it's probably failed for millions it's at least helped some people which is something. It's better than the alternatives like ending up in jail, dead, broke, or cut off from friends and family because you couldn't get your drinking in check.
It's not for everyone but I know lots of people who it has helped. Some people need that support system to quit because they can't do it alone. Personally I couldn't stand AA but I don't think it's a joke if it's helped so many people. I'm not gonna knock it because I don't like it.
