Worst case scenario is I go to a local university on a full ride merit scholarship, I just don't know what to expect from u of m in scholarships

Well... If you REALLY want to get to Ann Arbour wo the huge pricetag, just keep up a high GPA in community college and transfer.

I'm saying it in a positive connotation in that if I don't receive good scholarships from u of m I have a backup plan. Ive yet to visit both schools, but right now u of m is my number 1 choice
I was in the same position, OP. Got accepted to Penn State and offered a spot in the honors program. They even gave me a a few scholarships that added up to ~$6k. Still couldn't afford it without taking out a shit load of private loans, so I stayed in state and went to a local university that's not nearly as prestigious. Truthfully, where you get your undergrad won't matter, but that doesn't make it any easier when you can't pursue opportunities you've earned because of financial status.
