I just graduated college and I'm moving to another state. I want to deactivate my facebook account mostly because I don't use it and I don't like others checking in on me through it, but I don't want to seem like a weirdo for not having one or hurt people's feelings by doing it. I'm not worried about meeting new people and saying I don't have one, but I'm more worried about my family or college friends taking offense at it for some bizarre reason. Anyone done this before or think I'm just worrying too much?

worrying too much.

if you deactivate it not many people will have a chance to tell you how upset they are about it. i do recommend for the very last post, putting up your email for a day. everyone gets a chance to write it down.

i did it. only two people wrote to me. interesting experience.
