Hey /adv/

So I have a problem with shoes, well actually with my big toe.
My large toe kind of points up so that when wearing shoes, you can see it pushing on the material.
Ex) My big toe causes holes in Vans, but not in Converse (because of the white tip latex)

I am looking for good running shoes that won't rip due to my toe but most of them are now mesh all around with no toe protection.

Does anyone know of a good shoe that can help overcome my problem?
Is it normal for your toe to touch the 'ceiling' of your shoe?
(I just got new running shoes and my toe is touching the ceiling, not sure if I should return them)

I only wear converse to get full use from my shoes.
