Is it justified to be depressed about moving just a few minutes away?
I know I'm probably acting like a bitch here, but I've lived in the same house with my family for 22 years, since I was born. I've got another year or two of school left before I move out on my own, and I'm prepared for that, but my parents want to move for the sake of moving. I don't want to just pack everything up, move 20 minutes away, and then do it again in a year, and the thought of leaving the only home I've known my whole life is just making me incredibly sad. I don't give a shit how nice the place we move to will be, it's still just a house I'd live in, not really a home.
Am I just overreacting? Is there any way to help cope with this? I've always had anxiety issues, but I never knew it would be this bad, it's not like I'll have to switch colleges, or say goodbye to my friends.
