Ask a 27 year old guy who's officially divorced his wife anything.
>>
why did you divorce her?
>>
How long did your marriage last?
How long did you date before getting married?
>>
Should a guy marry?
>>
how often did you have sex?
What was your porn habit?
>>
>>16604458

Emotional/Physical abuse.

>>16604459
married lasted 3 years. Dated for 2.

>>16604460
Yes, if you truly want benefits, and security, then go for it. If not a civil union is the next best thing.

>>16604464
3-4 times a week.

I would rarely view porn to be honest with you. But I fancy the BDSM stuff.
>>
>>16604454
how soon did the marriage go sour?
>>
Did you ever cuck?
>>
>>16604502

exactly a week after our honeymoon.
>>
So how's it feel knowing you're gonna be living in a shoe box for the rest of your life?
>>
>going though some shit

My wife mentioned a divorce and I fought tooth and nail to make her see my point and to why we shouldn't get one for the sake of marriage and and raising a child together. See ended putting a lock on her phone and as a backup, she was deleting messages. We ended up taking a one day break before she needed to be with me. Is it too late to save my marriage?
>>
>>16604526

sounds like it. try some separate time away from each other see how that helps out. give if a few months if need be.
>>
>>16604476
>>16604502
Examples of the abuse? Also what event transpired that made you take the final step?
>>
>>16604506
No...holy shit dude. Why?

Someone's family has to be pissed about this, either hers or yours but damn.
>>
>>16604476
What if the woman lives in another country and marriage is literally the only way you can be together?
Otherwise there is no chance of getting a visa.

That's why I'm getting married to be honest. But I'd have married her some day anyway, we lived together for quite a while but now, for visa reasons, it's impossible without marriage.
>>
>>16604551

throwing objects. demean and dehumanizing me in front of others. sending me vile texts messages of either fucked things that happened to me or deep secrets. she'd scream at me, slam doors. it got hectic.

>>16604555

I lost my job. also see above post. both sides of the family are kinda "done" with her at this point.

>>16604560

i'd say your best bet is paying money to get her into the country.
>>
>>16604586
>paying money to get her into the country
You can't just "pay money" for her to come, you have to get married. I AM paying for the visa, which is about $2000 total with adjustment of status, and not including airfare, etc., but apart from a few crazy ideas (like having her enroll in college here despite being in her 30s or pretending to be a student or whatever), there's really no legal or practical way to get her here besides getting married.

So we have to either do it or break up. There isn't another option. At this point, we already decided this like 8 months ago and then months later I left my last visit with her and now she'll be here in just a few more months once the visa is finalized and everything. Almost there.

27 year old guy in the process of officially getting divorced here.

Do you think you'll get back into another relationship? Do you want to?
>>
>>16604751

Probably. I'm seeing a co worker (I bartend now) and a chick who I went to college with, nothing too serious.

Right now, life is pretty good.
>>
What are the actual consequences of a divorce?
>>
>>16604788
Besides needing to pay money to spouse. Besides that, are there any repercussions?

Let's say you're married and both broke. What happens if you get a divorce? You have to explain to all future partners that you were married before? Is that it? A little stigma?
>>
>>16604796

and the stigma has actually helped me get laid in my situation.

but it all depends on what kind of person you are to be honest. it made me stronger as a person.

the amount I pay a month for the next six months is nothing in the long run. but, i had a decent lawyer, and my ex-wife was actually more agreeable and easier to work with in most cases. the most i've paid so far was the court fees and I got a waiver on some of it.
>>
>>16604796
Google is saying the average divorce costs between $15,000 to $30,000 in legal fees. My parents always said it was just too expensive for them to divorce.
>>
>>16604476

>Emotional/Physical abuse.

How did you misspell "Ask a little bitch anything" that badly?
>>
>>16604873

i'm man enough to admit it brother, and now that headache is gone for my life and it's gonna get better.
>>
>>16604893

Score. You lucked out.
>>
>>16604867
I can understand that. But let's say a 19 year old is stupid and gets married, then wants to divorce. It really costs $30,000??
>>
>>16604907

exactly.

the day the final papers got inked, i went out and creampied my aforementioned coworker.
>>
>>16604916

depends on the lawyers and if they can reach a settlement. if you're in the burbs or a rural area, it theoretically shouldn't go past $5,000 desu big cities tend to be were a lot of a capital is dumped into the process.
>>
>>16604917
Any reason you waited until the papers were signed?

I'm going through a pretty ugly divorce right now, crazy ass wife did some fucked up shit with our daughter, took her to a bar & drank, took her around the subject of her affair constantly (I had no idea about the affair), etc.

Wondering if there's any reason to keep it in my pants that I'm not thinking about. It's not like me fucking someone would be public knowledge or anything...
>>
>>16604994

>not being 6 y/o and getting left at a bar as collateral while your mother supposedly goes to get the money for the tab

It's like you don't want your daughter to have a normal childhood experience.

>tfw I won like $250 at slots from and the bartender stole it.
>>
Are you divorce raped?
>>
>>16604620

What country? I may do a similar ordeal in the future and I'm a bit lost on what to do.
>>
>>16604454
>falling for the marriage meme

how does it feel to have wasted your time? you could have done something better with your life like travel the world or invest on your hobbies/career but instead you degraded yourself to bein enslave to a women.
>>
>>16605058
I'm in the US, I'm bringing her in from South Korea.

We are doing a K-1 visa and I used the services from RapidVisa, mostly because they gave me confidence that they would help even though I'm 90% sure I could have mailed it myself with the same results. Process takes like 7 months total though so being LDR for this long is so, so hard. But there are websites for people waiting for the same visa, going through the same thing, so it's nice to see that it all worked out for them in the end.
>>
>>16604994
>>16605072
Thanks, I have been in a LDR for about a year now and yep, it's painful. I wish you the best.
>>
>>16605087
Thank you.

Note you have to see each other in person within 2 years of applying for the visa, if you're in the US at least, and you have to prove this. Just in case you didn't know this or it affects you.
>>
>>16605097
>>16605097

Thanks, I just wanted to have a general idea of what is in store. I'm currently nowhere near being ready for marriage and at this time, I can only visit my girlfriend once a year. So I'm just going to wish for the best, work hard, and try to take her home once the time is right. This love thing is complicated~
>>
What is the difference between divorce and official divorce?
>>
>>16604867
You can actually get divorced for next to nothing if you don't have assets and no kids. It's called a simplified divorce.
