So my girlfriend and I just got denied entry into Canada and we're figuring out what to do.
I'm a permanent resident in canada, and she's an american citizen. We flew in from Boston to Seattle so she could come visit me in Vancouver.
We walked into this fucking office today and basically got told that they don't trust our relationship enough to let her in for a 3 month stay (the maximum duration of a visitor from the states is 180 days). This shit started with the guy asking us how long she was gonna stay, we told them 97 days (march 30th), he then asked us if she had any money for the trip and we told him she has 300$ in her bank account and that I was going to be paying for her expenses on this trip to see me and so he then told us we were going to be going for secondary processing.
And so even more bullshit ensued. Our luggage all got inspected as if we were carrying illegal shit, our phones got searched (I hope they enjoyed my dick pics), and they had entire lines of bullshit questioning for us. They separated us and tried to drive a wedge in our relationship between us, by implicating she'd do something to me and that I wouldn't want to take care of her trip expenses and leave her stranded in canada, and to her they said what if I decided not to take care of her and that no one would be able to help her and 300$ USD isn't even enough for food in vancouver for one day (the fuck?). And they said we needed

>proof of residence
>proof of employment
>proof of funds for the trip

I told them I was planning on buying her a ticket later on for march because airfare can get pretty cheap if you wait for the right times

She lives rent free with a family that lets her stay in the basement, and doesn't pay bills so there's no paper trail there we can use unfortunately.

We told them that she's registered in college and does work study with them, getting paid by the city her college is in. They told us it wasn't a real job. I told them we could get paystubs and he told us those weren't acceptable.

They told us that she would need at least 1000$ in her bank account before they let her through to canada, or 50 bucks for every day she's in the country.
They gave us a sheet that showed everything someone needed to enter Canada and escorted us back to USA soil. I was allowed to reenter the united states because they weren't about to let her be stranded here on the other side of the country with nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
I just read this paper over and noticed they made a lot of mistakes and even lied to us.
For example it states here that

To prove employment even though we were told by the officer they weren't admissible.

It even says in this section that if you have a relative or a FRIEND willing to cover your expenses for your trip is fine. But they didn't accept this of us.

I don't even know if they discriminated against us. Everyone who got sent back was an ethnic person except for 2 white people, one of which had lied on her forms so I understand why she got sent back. Could it be that we were singled out for being an interracial couple (italian/hispanic male, japanese/italian female)? We're not even the SJW types who think everything that happens wrong to us minorities is part of a plot against us but it seems it may have been the case, two asian couples went in ahead of us and went through even though one of them had trouble filling out their declaration forms.
They gave my girlfriend a hard time when they were questioning her separately but I got the easier end of things. I guess they thought she'd crack because she's a woman?
My dad just told me that I should have told him and called him into the immigration office (he's half hour away). He said a family man of a high paying job coming into the building would have weighed our case in our favor, and that they would have backed off.
We're sitting in a hotel in seattle right now trying to get everything together to cross the border again. It's new years eve tomorrow and we're stuck here until we can find a way to get approved. The fuck guys.

We're going to try and stack the odds in our favor as much as we can.
We checked the border patrol site, it says we could have asked to speak to their supervisor on duty.
We read over the form and caught their mistakes as I posted earlier.
I'll be calling my dad in, who can testify that he can help take care of her medical bills if she were to get in an accident or anything while here. (they told my girlfriend it could have cost her 10,000$ CAD for an ER visit). Do you guys think my dad is right and he could help make our case stronger by being in the office with us? She's uncertain of it, I think it would help and my dad believes it would have cleared it up right away.
We're also going to call in the immigration and border patrol offices in the morning for inquiry and addition info.

But the guy we dealt with coming back into america let me in pretty nicely because he knew I needed to come back with her to take care of her. I have 90 days in the states to figure this out or find a way to send her home until she can get a visa or we decide to go to Chile or something.
