So I wanna watch get to know the star wars franchise more before I watch the the force awakens and many people are saying not to watch the episode 1,2 and 3 because they are shit, would missing them and only watchin 4,5,6 and eventually 7 make me miss any story line/plot?

It's correct that the old Trilogy is more important for understanding the plot of Episode VII. The prequels just tell the story before the happenings during the civil war in episode 4,5 and 6. But i really recommend you to watch the whole saga to get the real Star Wars feeling. The best episode of the prequels is 3 because it shows how Anakin Skywalker turns into Darth Vader. I always watch the movies in the following order: 4 5 (1 2 (optional)) 3 6
