I'd suggest taking more time apart, like you're going to for Christmas. Try not talking for a few days or a couple of weeks. If there are any romantic feelings left for him, you'll find yourself missing him, which is a good start.
How well do you communicate issues and things that bother you?
Are ther any underlying issues (from past relationships too) that might be causing you to lose feelings for him?
When you get back after Christmas you could try rekindling the romance. Plan a date night, or a few. Go out to dinner at yours and his favourite restaurant, go on a picnic, go to the movies, have a home cooked meal/order favourite take out and watch a favourite movie.
Do things you both love, he'll see the effort you're putting in and (if he isn't already, which he should be imo) hopefully he'll reciprocate.
Don't throw away a good relationship until you're absolutely certain you don't love him anymore and can't see that changing anytime soon.

He gets mad if I bring anything negative up because he is already struggling with himself, so it usually ends up with him really angry and not wanting to talk about it. When he does listen to what I have to say, he just defends himself and calls me names in between his defense.

Yes I do but not only that, he just doesn't understand me anymore. He snaps at me and also he watches too much porn and has online sex with random women.
