a weapon, a knife perhaps? if you're rich get him a gun. Or maybe you could give him a coupon for a day out at the gun range or some shit? depending on where you go it isn't that expensive i believe.
or maybe a whip, you can make a pretty legit one for 30 bucks and 10 hours. Gun range would probably be coolest/cheapest though, and you learn gun safety.
Knife is practical, and a gun is just awesome but most expensive.
