I found information on my wife before we met by using google and facebook

If you can get their email address, searching that in quotes works too, found my wife's yahoo answers account that way.
Basically having information on them might help you in whatever you goal is, you might want to cat fish them, spread information or rumours using knowledge you already know, you might just want to avoid them as a whole.
In case it is relevant, I found my wife and found her history of being cheated on and presented myself with a focus on being trustworthy.

That is the best advice if it as a minor thing and also the best advice if someone killed somebody you loved. In the unlikely scenario that the person you want to get revenge on is exactly in the middle (e.g. an asshole that fucked you over and got zero punishment), gather information about them (address, phone numbers,...) and wait. That's right, WAIT. At least a year. After that, you will most likely not give a shit anymore and have moved on. If you haven't, you will at least have cooled down to a "not-doing-anything-stupid" level. Then you can start signing up that person for every shit you can find ('free' offers, Jehovah's witnesses, fetish porn website trials, etc.). At this point you should just do it to kek and then move on.
