I need help consulting a problem. Today when I turned my laptop on, the screen on boot up changed into solid colours from something like this, green blue red. Then it repeated some colours again then shutted down. What does this mean?

Did you drop it? Did you pick it up by the monitor and twist it? Is it making any beeping sounds?

no beeing sounds, no wired sounds, never move my laptop its always in one place, therefore cannot be damaged. It just happened today. I had my laptop for around 4 years give or take

A failing hard drive shouldn't create a green screen. It's most likely something to do you with you motherboard or video card depending if the video card is integrated or not.
To check your HDD's health you can download software from the manufacturer or try something like HDD Sentinel to see the estimated health of your drive if they don't.
It's also possible that a display cable was being impigined, the laptop was overheated, the RAM isn't sitting correctly. It can be a ton of things.
