I actually think the "queen" attitude is usually a RESPONSE to abuse and mistreatment. Left to their own devices and treated normally, gay guys tend to turn out pretty normal. I know lots of gay people, and the only ones who are "queer" were been treated really, really poorly in their childhood/teens.

They're definitely out there, I think there are more gay people like you than the flying, "obvious" types.
