Download the Ubuntu installer onto a USB stick, boot your computer from the stick and just let it install itself. When it's done, it runs just like Mac OS except the dock is on the left.

also i didn't read the whole thread and it's possible this is solved by now but here's what i did to reinstall windows, which was just pirated it then downloaded windows activator
