It's about this time I remember he's going for a trip and has mentioned before he's specifically having a layover in thailand along the way.
I couldn't stop laughing, I almost fell out of my chair. Not out of meanness but the absolute 2nd hand awkwardness/embarassment.

Depending on what kind of person he is, there are two ways that might be the best way to handle this. Either make plans with him, act totally normal, and make it clear you'll never mention it again. Or maybe he is the type of person where you need to sit him down and be like "seriously I don't care, I'm sorry, and we never need to mention it again".
Either way I don't think you should light heartedly joke about it.

Can you not just find an opportunity to be like, "dude, just so you know I wasn't laughing at you I was laughing at the situation. I honestly don't give a shit what porn you watch." And be done with it? Thats how I usually deal with situations like this and it seems to work fine. Just don't make a big deal about it and let him know its all good and things will probably go back to normal.

I made this thread because I'm incredibly socially awkward and end up offending people when I try to just joke about stuff. We have a pretty good friendship and joke about a lot of dark topics.
After that we watched some youtube vids and played poker with his friends and family.
