Should I get a female roommate?
My apartment at college has 3 people in it. Two of my roommates are in one room and I'm in my own room. However, I got contacted by their friend and she said she is looking for a place to stay for the year. The thing is, I'm a guy and I've never had a female roommate rooming with me in the SAME ROOM. My other housemates are female and that's fine, but I've never shared a room with a girl before.
I'm thinking about saying no, but having another person in our apartment would lower the rent for us. What are the cons here? Here is what I can think of right now for cons:
-Can't sleep shirtless or pantless
-Can't jack off as freely
-Will have to be considerate as I enter the room (meaning I can't come back too late)
I think what I"m most scared of (and I know it's irrational but I can't help it) is what if she's crazy or manipulative and says something outlandish like I molest/raped her? Has there been instances where false rape had been claimed as blackmail or something?

I mean to say, "Has there been isntances where people use false claims of rape TO blackmail someone."
Here are my total cons I can think:
>Can't sleep shirtless or just in boxers
>Can't jack off freely anymore or at all (I think jacking off leaves a smell, do you?)
>Can't go in my room as freely, I'll have to knock now
>Less parking space at our apartment since she has a car
unless you desperately need the money I would say no outright. I wouldn't really want a roommate in the same room as me in general, I would want it even less if I don't know them that well, even less if it's a chick-not like I'm gonna be banging her or anything.

Nope, it's literally like this.
And from how fast I got this picture off of Google and it being the first image I got, I'm assuming this is VERY common with female roommates and not just my situation.

Since you guys brought up the subject, how hard is it to change the freaking roll of toliet paper? I mean, if you were able to pull it out of the cabniet and place it on the counter, why can't you just get rid of the cardboard roll and replace it? It's not that hard.

You're right. I think the reason why I even left it open to a Yes answer was because I was hoping we'd be better friends or something. I know that sounds pathetic, but I know she's a nice person to hang out with. She's not hot or "Stacy", she's an introvert like me and she plays alot of Nintendo fans. A female gamer.
Although, now that you reminded me that she is an introvert I wonder how she feels all about this. She's told me she lived by herself in her own dorm because she loved the privacy. So moving in with someone else, a guy too, must be daunting for her.
Well OP, talk to her for a little bit first and see who she is, what she looks like, etc. Then decide. I say go for it, unless she's a feminazi, you shouldn't have to worst about her abusing you of rape, but to be safe invest in an audio recorder
Well OP, I honestly think you should go for it. The door is open. What do you have to lose, but gain another friend/experience? Unless you're hurting for money, than there's really no CON's per say.
That's not pathetic at all. Don't let the whole "BUT SHE'S A GIRL" thing get in the way. Introvert or not, I think you stand to gain a lot more than you have to lose.

Not hard at all.
Urgh. Sharing rooms. That's for fucking children. What has the economy come to?
