I've had to worry about losing my job for over a year an half now. (oil field) We've had tons of lay offs at my company. The last 6 months I stopped caring for the most part though.
But if I lose my job. You know what I'm gonna do? Go get another job. I've got bills to pay and I like enjoying myself which requires a small amount of money. inb4 slave to bills n shit. It's a part of being an adult. I have very minimal debt, just a loan for my car really, most of my money is spent on entertainment and leisure stuff.
Killing yourself because you get laid off is dumb bro. Get another job or take some time off to collect yourself and relax then get back to work. Losing your job isn't the end of the world.

The issue is that I'll be FIRED from my cushy office job and it will be ABSOLUTELY MY FAULT for being habitually late.
I have no qualifications and got this job through luck.
So, when I end up working 60 hours a week of shitty retail jobs and getting treated like shit, I will absolutely feel like I deserve it.
...if I can even get shitty retail jobs. I might just have to more in with my stepdad who would REALLY treat me like shit.

I've never pledged allegiance to any company I've worked for. What I mean by that is I've never worked at a job with the expectation of staying forever. Why? As time passes, things change. It's a fact. Workplace environments change. Companies change. The market changes. YOU change. When your time is up, your time is up, and you will know it.
