I need job advice. A while ago, I posted here about being moved from my Safeway's Starbucks department to its bakery department. I fully understood why: my performance sucked. I simply wasn't performing my duties well enough. Now, though, I've been told that the bakery "wasn't a good fit for me, either," which again, obviously means that I wasn't doing well there. The thing is, I wasn't given feedback on how to improve, and was told by people in the department that I was doing a good job. The only issue I could see is that I wasn't working quickly enough. But I was given no feedback on this.
They've offered me (what I'm guessing is) one final chance as a courtesy clerk (bagger). I'm tempted to take it to hold me until the fall when more jobs open, but should I take my grievances up to my boss? I'm past caring about this job now, but I would like for him to encourage any workers who come after me to be given more usable feedback so that they can correct themselves quickly. Is that overstepping my bounds? My only other job was a lot more different and had no issues, so I never had to talk to my supervisor. So, my workplace etiquette IQ's a bit low.
