So I just saw the new Warcraft movie (it's pretty bad) and I can't help but wonder, is there any society or lifestyle that operates in the way the orcs do, in real life?
Maybe this is just the male power fantasy of a jaded IT guy, but it seems that a lifestyle based around celebrating earth and life, guys going on hunting trips together, and an honor system based on not being a dick to the people you live with sounds like paradise. Mostly because I already live that way and I'm tired of being treated like I'm some kind of anomaly for it.
Everywhere I go I see people praising someone and then talking badly about them to the next person and this is asinine to me, and everyone's supposed to play along with it like it's some kind of huge game.

I don't think you understand what I'm asking, I'm well aware that WoW doesn't exist in real life. I'm a 27 year old guy with a relatively normalfag life. I just feel like if there are so many fantasy societies based around similar concepts that I can't help but wonder if they're based on something that either exists here or did at one point.
I've been in every lifestyle from corporate America to socialist communes to anarchic hobos on freight trains, and I just feel like most people are, for lack of a better word, catty. Everyone is really just in it for themselves and lying to everyone else just to get one step ahead.

Well, no. You are a man that follows the code of honor. The only timeplace when this happened was in the hunter-gatherer period.
Men were primary meat gatherers, they would often ride out together on their horses and often die on those treks, but they shared a bond.
Women were the gatherers, they were primarily gathering energy resources such as nuts and fruits, and they would often have to lie or steal in order to receive the most nuts for their family. No bond was made here. No honor was involved here.
As soon as nomadic tribes died out it was the end of it.The shift towards gynocentric weight of the scale that was caused by agriculture made for such bonds to be rarer and rarer. People that live their lives honorably are rare and they rarely form societies because of difficulty of finding another such as them. Especially in big city cesspools. Sure there are people that celebrate earth, but its not the same. Its just some hippie shit. The only society that would be like that would be shaolin monks. Though you wouldn't be admitted since its since a infancy sort of thing.
The best bet you can hope for is become a wandering monk and in a non-cancerous country and practice your ways.

A few years ago I got into Heathenry and Asatru for the same reasons, and after about six months of living with an Asatru tribe and having a great time, it devolved into a bitchfit about who was the most authentic and who knew the most about the gods, and it was high school all over again.
It sounds dumb but the main villain from the movie, Guldan with the bad magic, (I've never really played WoW so I don't know the backstory) in the end he was more like a corporate human because he just shat on everyone, and eventually the rest of the orcs realized he was a bullshitter and let the prisoner go free because that was the honorable thing to do, and I feel like every society, even the ones that try really hard to be good, everyone has a Guldan and they usually just bullshit everyone.
