How long before you guys became good or proficient at a coding language?
I did decent in my intro CSCI class(B) but found that it really only had us copying what the teacher was doing on the board. Messing with Python during the summer and certain concepts are still vague/i don't understand(Boolean mainly but I'm still a beginner)
Should I stress over not getting it right away or just keep putting time into it?

Keep putting time into it. It may also be that python just isn't the language for you right now; what language did you learn in your intro classes?
It's important to constantly write code, though, really. Find projects you want to make.

Also Boolean is easy; it's just a yes or no conditional statement. If something is TRUE, then do something, if it is FALSE, do something else.

We did appinventor for android apps which everyone else in the CSCI department despised completely. Python is supposed to be good for beginners I heard, but I'm struggling with understanding basic concepts.
I want to make games and useful apps for everyday things. I'm sure I'll figure it out as I go a long.

See, that makes sense at first but if I'm given
my_int = 7
my_float = 1.23
my_bool = True
my_bool is the only boolean in there right? or is it setting everything to true?
>>17201108
so my_bool is the only boolean in there; those are all separate variables.
Do you understand what a variable is?

Yes I do! and that actually explains a lot. I guess I was overthinking it to be honest
