I've always fantasized about my friend's GF. Recently I've even found myself having sex dreams with her. I believe this is the result of our joking around in the last few months.
We started to joke around with sex talk on and off. First, it was her saying she would punch/kick her BF's (my friend's) balls if he didn't do X or Y and I would escalate it, little by little, saying she should do it when they're having sex cause it's always fun to try new things. We laughed it off, my friend included.
A few weeks after we were talking about my GF and my friend's GF told me she will tell her to also kick/punch my balls as a punishment. Jesting, I told her she should because I'm not afraid of trying new things. This time though, she did the escalating: saying she likes redheads and asking if my GF was into women. I told her we've talked about doing a 3way with another woman but it never became more than that.
Fast forward a few weeks and we've been chatting more and more and now, every time we talk it's always "joking" about sex. She's been sending me pictures of women she likes and saying stuff like "I've been looking for girls you might like" and "why are you still online? Just go watch some porn and jerk off". She even started to tell me somethings she does with her BF (my friend) sexually.
So, taking into account all of this, I think she wants something with me (subconsciously) or at the very least feels aroused by the idea. Of course nothing will ever happen but I won't lie, this idea has been eating away at me.
What do you think? Am I reading too deep into this?
You might have something here, but it is hard to tell. Anyway, my advice is, tread super carefully. Dont initiate first or escalate too far, you could fuck up relationship with 3 ppl at once

The good thing is we live in different cities so we can always have a cool-off period.

All you said is true. My friend is just a friend. Not a good one and definitely not a best friend.
I think the friend's GF has a subconscious want because he cheated on her and she always stayed true to him even though he was a scumbag but that's all in the past now. They have a solid relationship.
I'll just continue fantasizing about her. I'm a well adjusted person which means I know it's not worth it to try anything.
