I've always called girls a day or two after I get their number and I've never really had problems with it until a few people in my friend circle, both guys and girls said it's really forward and desperate to call and you should text instead. I mean I have been rejected over phone a few times which is no big deal but it gets me thinking if I would of had a chance had I texted. I was always under the impression that calling is more confident and sexy as opposed to being a generic texter but I'm 21 and I guess this generation would maybe prefer texting?

You are going to have to sacrifice a whole day of texting first. Part of the playbook.
>>17195704
Man I hate playing fucking games, the ''wait three days before you contact a girl'' and shit like that. Why is being upfront and direct not considered a virtue anymore?
>>17195699
Desperate is a bit of a stretch. Forward and confident are related. That being said, this generation DOES prefer texting. I don't call first because I don't want people to call me first. Unless they're hot girls. Hm.
If the "grass always looks greener on the other side", does that imply that there's no such thing as an objectively worse or better decision/situation? I'm talking when it comes to life decisions like "oh I wish I lived in a nicer part of the country vs. where I am now" or "I wish I was that guy he's so much more successful than me etc."
I'm in entering my mid 20s and adulthood (like real adulthood, getting a real job, making payments, seeing friends get married and relatives did, etc.) and I'm trying to get a handle...

Try to improve yourself every single day, learn something new, get fit or save money for something that would make you happy.
Been speaking to a girl off tinder for about a day. she is willing to come to me and go on a night out. She lives about 10 miles away. she wants to come to my city and get a hotel. it will cost her about £100 to get a hotel and train. it sounds to good to be true. normally women want me to go to them. She is at least a 7/10. not sure if she is rich, or really likes me? i know she is really into traveling so this could be a normal thing for her. any advice would be appreciated.
Pretty fishy. I'd pass.

fishy in what sense? like it could be some weird set up or something? it is definitely odd.

How strange is it to have an online friend of the opposite sex and not to be in an LDR? From what I've heard, this is not very common (i.e. either online friends of the same sex or two people in an LDR)
Less strange than having a LDR.
>>17195567
didn't you post this thread before? someone did, word for word practically. I'll say what I said in that thread: I never found it strange to have online friends of both sexes. in fact I always found it to be a more laid-back way to have friends. a lot less sexual tension.
is someone telling you you're weird for having an opposite-sex online friend? tell them to mind their own business. is it just your own personal worry that it's too weird or something? stop worrying about it.

How does it feel to be this insecure about social connections? Is this your way of saying that you wish she was interested?

Me 22 her 21. I'm the first guy to show her attention. Things are going so slow. How do I bring up sex? She is a virgin to anything relationship and its making me very uncomfortable as I dont know how to deal. What do?
You don't bring up sex. You escalate physically.
>>17195563
This.
You kiss, grab boob, grab bra, take bra off, etc.
>>17195551
Physically you start with grabbing her hands after telling her something important or not. Make it sound important so holding her hand makes sense. Give a compliment and rub her skin. Those are the easiest starting steps.
How do you deal with people that believe in superstitious bullshit and old wive's tales and keep spouting it, and any argument against them is met with anecdotal evidence?

>>"That's not how it works, both of those are caused by viruses"
Being cold lowers your immune system and makes you more vulnerable.
The "common cold" is called that for a reason.
So if you get cold, you're immune system gets weaker, the common virus gets in your system.

Its one week until the exams for university, and I'm in a dilemma
I'm currently doing one STEM subject, maths and two others, computing and classics
I feel that even if I get A-A* in all of them, most universities will decline me and I'll end up going to some mid-tier one in North England.
Will this happen? Am I right to be concerned? Should I take up physics as a fourth a-level?
>>17195497
Most 4channers don't know the British system and therefore won't understand your question. It seems to me that you're showing a nice breadth in your three choices, and strong marks in all three should establish you as a top candidate. Trying to cram a 4th subject in now will only risk the overall performance.
>>17195536
I can't help but fear me being one of those people who got all A*s in subjects like geography, english and economics then going to something like brunel or manchester
Are you sure its not worth the risk? I have a full free week to study and I've already done 1/4 of the Physics syllabus in maths
>>17195497
What do you want to do at university? That determines the answer..
Pick up physics if you want. It's piss easy. It's also pretty boring because of that.
So, help me out here, am I being unreasonable for being pissed off?
>head out for beers with friend
>friend is a handsome guy that gets any girl interested pretty quickly
>this guy also has a steady girlfriend
>after a few beers go to a crowded club/bar

Did he end up making a move on her? If not, you just may be the victim of his natural, unforced charm, so that even if he was just making friendly conversation he was better at it than you. It certainly sounds like you gave up far too quickly. If you were making progress with the girl there is no reason why another guy, however charming, would destroy that unless you conceded defeat and left the field.
>>17195546
I have no idea, but he was obviously interested and made no excuses about it. I left pretty rapidly after the conversation became theirs. I just thought it was a dick move, considering he already has a steady girlfriend. I wouldn't mind his approach if we were both single and trying to pick up girls.

I found a newborn, blind kitten on the 22 of April, and since then I've been taking care of it.
I've been nursing it, feeding it, keeping it warm, playing with it since it's first days here until today. It had no one but me.
It started to walk, play, eat on it's own, it grew fond of me - always went whereever I went around the house, it even started to sleep on my clothes and in my bed.
The problem is that it didn't want to use it's litter box, even though I trained it, and it made a mess around the house, which I always had...

Try asking her out.
What the fuck did I just read. Post this on /an/ and watch the shitfest start. Tons of crazy cat ladies over there, all infected with toxoplasmosis.
You didn't have to beat the cat. Just pick it up by the scruff and throw it outside for a few minutes. Good job. Now you fucking killed it
I saved this little kitten only to kill it a month after. I killed my little friend, who was so kind and good, who loved me and when I wasn't around it went to look for my clothes or pillow.
I killed this kitty, that was my gratitute for all the affection it had for me.
I killed my little friend, it was so small and warm, so good.
It was here, and then it was not here, the little playful kitten, who didn't want much, just love, and I couldn't even give it that.
I am a horrible human being and I believe I should kill myself. Maybe then...

Fuck me.
Of course, just fold them nicely and put them in a basket/off to the side and then hang up your clothes.
If this results in any fallout whatsoever, just say you'd noticed the jeans had been out there for quite some time and you needed the line to get your laundry finished.
If they're rational, sane human beings they'll thank you for folding the jeans and that'll be it. If they're weirdos who complain for some reason, gently bring up the fact that you were the one who set up the line and while you don't mind them using it, they should...
