Knowing the person doesn't help anon
Long time smoker here, around 15 years, trying to quit. I heard vaping can help.
What's a good starting vape pen to pick up? Thinking I would probably need the largest nicotine dose to start with. I'm a total newbie to it, anyone have any recommendations?
Also did it help anyone here quit?
>>16782839

Well, he's aware of the problem, at very least. If you have nothing better to do, why not? If he pulls the same shit or worse, then that's it.
Crush him
Fatality.
No remorse it'll make him have to come up with a solution cause it's clearly a problem.
Shit honesty is the best policy.
>>16782576
Ehh, you needn't put up with that.
You still have plenty of other options.
Valentine's day is coming up. It seems like a good opportunity to confess my feelings to a grill.
I've known her for a few years and we get on pretty well. I don't know what she thinks of me though. Recently I tried hinting at it but I'm not sure she understood or not.
I thought of making a video with photos of us and romantic music. When I think about it it seems really really corny though. Also, due to distance I don't have that many photos together with her, and most of them were taken at the same place.
So I'm curious if anyone...

Do not confess. Please. Ask her out like a normal person.
confessing your love never works out the way you intend. ask her out, and hope for the best but prepare for the worst. (i.e. if she says no, don't let your psyche shatter)

You're man, aren't you? What with this frilly bullshit. Ask if she wants to eat something on the weekend or something.
So I've been with my boyfriend for a little over 2 and a half years. He's been in college to finish up his degree while I've been working at a game company in NYC for the past 2 years.
This is his last term of college but now he's planning on going to grad school and he may go to school in West Chester Pennsylvania because they'd be giving him a job there, essentially he'd be taking classes for free.
Unfortunately West Chester is about a 2 hour drive from me. He keeps asking me if he goes that if I could come with him and maybe find...

Bump again
You guys are still young. Your bf needs to finish his degree to get his career rolling so he will be able to settle down and you have a job that pays well and don't know if this will be a once in a lifetime deal or not. Honestly, I think you guys should just break it off to save the trouble because long distance relationships almost never work out. Either you or him might find someone or the trust just slowly dies down or you can't fulfill your needs, etc.
I have been in your position: I live 3 countries away from my boyfriend and I manage to see him every other week. I have a good job here, and he went for a master abroad.
Your boyfriend is being unreasonable. First, it's just 2 hours drive, you can meet halfway or visit each other easily, even every week. It won't be like living together, but it's a decent compromise. Spend a lot of time on skype and on the phone, text frequently through the week, and it will be over before you even realize it.
If your boyfriend asks you to drop your career for his...

not one in my entire life have i been in a relationship and i'm 22 years old. Doesn't mean I'm unsuccessful with women, I've just never felt a connection with anyone to make an effort. This valentines day i'm spending my morning with a qt3:14 who i hang out with and talk with regularly, what's the best approach to asking her out?
Any other tips like where we should go and what we should do, or how to be slightly more charming would also be greatly appreciated.
OP here,
likely irrelevant detail but she's a little younger than me and a virgin. thus a bit shy.
>>16782246
Grab brekky/lunch and enjoy each others company. Go to a park or whatever you guys like doing, it doesn't have to be super special, just nice. If it's going well (everyone is laughing and comfortable, it's an easy atmosphere) then just find an opening (you'll know when, don't double think it). At that point, literally just say "Hey, do you want to go out?" or if you want to be a bit more subtle then ask to catch a movie instead.
Easier said than done I guess.
Also I know what you mean by not feeling the connection, I'm also 22, not completely unsuccessful with women (been seeing someone or another since I was 18 with about two months downtime in total) . I've only felt REALLY into, both body and mind, my highschool crush and on other girl (feelings faded hard and fast with her though).
>>16782246
If you're hanging out on V day you're kinda already on a date bro. Definite potential to make a move if the mood is right. If you're too pussy, then at the end just tell her how much fun you had and you'd like to take her on a proper date sometime.
So I was never good at anything in my life, all I did was play video games and listen to music.
I picked up guitar at 19 years old, now I am 25 and pretty good with it. Should I pursue music?
The other thing is that after I come from work all I want to do is play video games. I am not really an ambitious person. I don't want to have houses, cars etc. A flat and a bike is all I need. But parents keep hinting me that I am a failure for not wanting riches.
So what should I do? Pursue career in music, or just play video games all day after work
If you're happy living a simple life, there's no reason to pursue further success. Keep playing guitar every now and then as a hobby. Maybe you'll feel differently in a few years, maybe not.
If you don't have the drive, music is definitely not a viable career option.

care to explain?
I'm sitting on my bed and she's packing all of her stuff from my apartment as I type. Tomorrow she'll be gone.
/adv/, should I stop her?
>>16782181
why is she leaving
That depends. Why is she leaving, and what do you intend to do to stop her from leaving?
Sounds like it's time to throw a bitchin kegger.
got a job interview for a night shift stock replenishment role at sainsburys tomorrow. if anyone has any advice for me i would be much obliged.
thanks senpai
>>16782048
Look at your employer in the eyes and try to be as confident as possible.
Last time I went to get an interview they didnt call me. Probably because I am an akward fuck that looks like a potential serial killer.
So try to be the opposite of that.
>>16782055
yeah im the same man can barley talk to my friends, have been writing awnsers to interview questions i found online so i'll be somewhat prepared.
god i hope i get this
>>16782048
1. Show up
2. Be breathing
Those are the only requirements for that job.
The perfect time of year for this
Help me /adv/
man, i had a really neat idea but i need adv's help. nobody wants to, thought. sight...
What are you gifting your boyfriend faggot
whats your idea?
>>16782046
i asked for people to draw hearts with our initials at different places around the world. we both love to travel and it would be beyond neat if we could go on some kind of "scavenger hunt" for those hearts... but i never got a response here. and i have no idea where else to ask.
How the fuck do I get girls on Tinder to actually take interest in me?
18, never had a gf (I've had long distance relationships in the past, never again.) and I've had plenty of people say I'm an attractive guy. I don't get it. What am I doing wrong? How do I message these women?
>>16782006
The photos you put up and the short description is key.
Are you asking about the actual chat though?
play it cool nigga, don't be too keen. Compliment their looks too, but only if you mean it nigga
>>16782030
Both, honestly.
I've only taken one good picture of me ever. I have a problem where I look great in the mirror but as soon as I take a picture of myself, I look like fucking dogshit.
>>16782031
That's the problem, I don't know how. I say "Hey" and even then sometimes I'll never get a message back.
My mom, who raised me as a single parent, ruined her life thinking she had to in order to do the right thing for me. She worked only part time jobs in order to "be home for me when I got home from school" and as a result lost her house and ended up in huge debt. She lost all her friends since she isolated herself and for a time was extremely religious due to trying to set an example for me. She got married at one point to a financially secure man (my biological father was a deadbeat who ran off when I was 5) but left him because he was secretly into doing drugs on...

Sounds like she's spent most of the last two decades just trying to keep things together, and now that she doesn't have to put in so much effort to do so she's feeling a void.
Give it some time.
>>16781968
Kind off the same situation for me.
Except never moved or anything, dad left us when I was born and mom stayed alone for us.
While I do feel guilty, I've come slowly with the realization that It's not my responsability to carry this fault because it really isnt. Althought I influenced these decisions, they werent made by me.
And same thing applies to you. Its not up to you to carry this. You cannot lift the sadness of others. Its pointless really and will do nothing to change...

Ok now. You are NOT responsible for any of her decisions. I'm a single mom myself and i can tot understand your mom. But dang, blaming you is really off the grid. I mean, it wasn't your decision to be born. That was hers. It wasn't your problem that she had a disfunctional relationship with your dad. It was hers. She then decided to play the victim "oh poor me, that asshole dad left me and now i have to give myself up and only life for my child, bwaaaa". This is bullcrap. My son is 5. Sure, ONE of my goals is to be there for him and spend quality time...

Is it better for an unusually mannish woman to just get a sex change?
>>16781867
Yes, because attaching a skin grafted monstrosity to your genitals and wearing male clothes is going to solve your life's problems
If they truly wished to be a man, then I suppose it would be fine.
If it was just because they looked like a boy but still felt like a girl, they should just use makeup/plastic surgery/ idk love themselves
No because any type of penis you get will suck, you'll suddenly have to deal with the extreme anger fueled by testosterone (guys grew up with it and got used to it).
Also people still don't really accept transgender. But if you want men to beat you up then rape you to show you that you're really a woman, go ahead.
I feel so false, I'm constantly changing who I am to adapt to others in social situations, I never really feel like myself. Its getting to me. Is this human nature to do this? If not what can I do to be more myself? To stop feeling false?
I try to be as I am, but im way to boring, I feel like shutting people out when they try to talk to me and I just want to be left alone.
>>16781844
Being alone brings you closer to God
>>16781844
Well, its normal to try and appear to have relevant tastes infront of people you're trying to impress, but its really all about being outgoing, and portaying yourself in a very professional and non faggy way.
Its not too hard you're probably just shy and insecure.
I'm the same way OP, but i very recently noticed that i started being more myself after hanging around people for a while.
Some of them stop talking to me after a while but some stay and those are my real friends.
I think it will all work out over time, especially if you act 2 different ways with 2 different people and hang out with both of them.
