From what I've heard, hospital diapers are not fun in any sense of the word. Very thin, and pretty much required to be changed after every wetting (even in the middle of the night) for health reasons. Being ABDL makes diapers fun in a lot of circumstances, but there are always times when it will be a hassle.

Longer answer: it's really not worth the trouble. If you can wear on your own when out of hospital, then these things are just gonna feel like crappy stopgags, they won't be anywhere near as pleasant as you'd hope.
If you haven't worn in your own home or don't have the ability to (for whatever reason), it's still not really a good idea. Hospital stuff is generally not even up to a half-decent pharmacy pullup, and you're not going to be relaxed / able to savour it as you would. If anything, it'd give you a crap first impression of diapers.

Hospitals tend to do do a lot of round after midnight and you end up waking up a lot for having blood work and checking your machines. You end up getting shit sleep the way it is. Let alone convolute everything by getting diapered.
