Because from October to December of 2015 anons did nothing but fight over the design. Each wanted their own design to be /aco/-tan.
Why did they want their specific design to be /aco/-tan? Because then drawfags would draw it for forever after. But they all fucked up and chased all the drawfags away in their greed and so it entered into a "cold war" where no one wanted to talk about it for 4 months until April this year.
For 4 months anons still argued on other boards and their hatred of the other designs festered, each blaming the other faction for the creative collapse. Even to this day they still remain dedicated to starting shit whenever anyone expresses even remote enjoyment of one of the designs.
And so the healing process continues to stagnate.
