I wonder how John Persons feels, he's literally been cucked by The Pit now that he's taken the biggest draw that JP had for his site, his art style and OC and is making fat Patreon money.
I've even seen people say as much in the JP message boards but then get deleted pretty quickly, if you look at The Pit thread they have there, it hasn't had a reply since January or something, but that's not true at all, he's just been deleting all the negative comments or comments simply asking where the updates are.
I signed on to Pit's patreon for about half a month before I realised I was just being charged for a bunch of crummy sketches and barely finished work. Plus the fact he's charging per piece of content rather than just per month is pretty ridiculous considering the quality of some of the stuff he puts out.
I still The Pit died or something and some other dude took up his mantle and replicated his style the best he could but takes like 2x+ as long, because the quality updates are few and far between and he's barely done any actual penetration outside of very few pieces for like 6 months, it's just blowjobs and pinups.

Well either way, the way the situation has panned out over the past couple of years doesn't fill me with confidence about The Pit's reliability and longevity as an artist.
I've had a John Persons membership on and off in the past, every couple of months when I feel enough content had been added, namely from The Pit, and as time went on it went from expecting an update maybe every fortnight or so, to a month and then every couple of months until he just stopped updating, and had a massive break up until a few months before he created his Patreon where he continued upating on JP's website and started a few more OC pinups that looked like they were going to turn into comics and continued the 2 Hot Girls comic which JP stated on the message boards The Pit commited to finishing (which was clearly a lie whether it was JP or The Pit who lied, I'm leaning towards The Pit considering how his Patreon is going).
Then enter The Pit's Patreon and what has he done? A whole lot of pinups, some nicely finished, but most still pretty barebones lineart and colors, lots of sketches and very very little actual hardcore art which IMO is what he does best but clearly something he doesn't want to commit to. His philosophy seems to be quantity over quality these days and he starts a lot of projects but never continues them, let alone finishes them.
Overall I'm pretty disappointed with all the hardcore artists I'm subscribed too, Shiin is alright but his art style has really stagnated and hasn't improved in quite some time, and Kogeikun is barely updating anymore and is phoning it in pretty bad. Probably going to be cancelling all my subscriptions because it's just not worth it, the artists I track at least are just becoming lazy and complacent with their easy monthly haul coming in.

I absolutely love his stuff, and it baffles me that there are not more artists out there that are willing to replicate his style. There are tens of thousands of quality anime style artists out there that can imitate each other convincingly.
If there were more consistent people out there doing the same stuff that he's able to do then I would want to support them in a heartbeat.
I was hoping that when his housing situation settled down that he would get to work, but he seems to pop up with more distractions than ever. To change color: use gradient map adjustment layers. One for each color change: one to lighten his skin, one to redden certain parts (glans, veins, etc), one for her skin, one for her hair, etc. It's fast and yields great results. Unfortunately, for the layers to affect only the desired parts you have to use a mask, and that is the tedious part. You can do a broad selection with color range or the selection tool, but you'll have to zoom in and do most of the work manually, and that's boring and takes time.
