Yeah, though it doesn't make sense why the Borg would only convert females, but I guess sexual fantasies aren't supposed to make sense, anyway.
The globalized fantasy evolved into this very specific thing where Borg beam without any warning in just like they did on the Enterprise bridge, suddenly appearing, grabbing women, injecting them nanites and then disappearing just as quickly, though instead of the entire female population being stolen away at once, it was a process that took weeks or months and that humanity was powerless to stop.
This resulted in women freaking the fuck out as they realize that their own kidnapping was inevitable, and after a few months, every reproductive-aged woman on the planet *had* been stolen away and taken to a gigantic Borg processing ship in orbit, where - by that point - every one of those women was in a varying state of conversion.
Of course, the Borg would take along a few guys like me to help them with the conversions and teach them how human biology works, and we would essentially be the owners/caretakers of the world's entire stolen female population...

OR of the prompt, and I would go for a slower adjustment. Maybe have the basic model be androgynous, and have the body become more feminine as they're the only parts available to work with.
Not only that, I'd expand to take a SOMA-esque angle with identity, wherein the third act reveal after the protagonist is finally able to return to their body, the switch occurs and it's revealed it's a copying process, rather than a transferal.
The protagonist is truly an AI mapped off the brainwaves of his original identity, and memories are remapped to account for the coma status. I have a vision set in mind of the MC rejecting the truth that they aren't human, and trying to attack their human body in a rage, only to find themselves unable to harm a human being due to Asimov's laws of robotics and turned off.
Then the rest of the story would be about determining if he/she is property of the company or a sentient being free of the company's ruling, while he/she reaches acceptance and begins to explore/create new identity.
Could go for good end where she is freed, and continues to work at her own volition, or bad end where corporation gets custody and keeps uploading new protocols turning her into a sexbot unable to speak out about origins, and personality modified to the point of identity death (or skip the third act and have the protagonist never learn about their robo-body's status, and be stepfordified by the AI that failed to wipe his memory upon transfer back, just as a blank Android would.)
Also, thinking the protagonist's thought patterns would become more logical and robotic as protocols/updates were piled on, and become more creative when not resisting the changes

I recently played a TG game recently called Magical Camp (http://www.tfgamessite.com/index.php?module=viewgame&id=812) and was impressed by how the slow TG was handled through events you choose to go through or avoid.
A game like this but based around the cruise ship story would be great. Especially if there are branching paths for different kinds of upgrades. Especially if we can get some art for it (biggest problem with magical camp is its mostly just stock RPG maker stuff).
