Homeworld is slightly larger than Earth with much less water and larger land masses. This race devloped in the wide plains of the largest continent and developed speed and intelligence as their mainstay for survival. They switch from being bipedal to quadrupedal depending on situation, Bipedal for walking and manipulation and quadrupedal for sprinting andlong distance running. Instead of having digitigrade feet their knees actually hinge reversed (think like a grasshoppers hind legs) with forward facing feet in a plantigrade position. the legs themselves act like springs and are very powerful (a donkey kick from even a small one is capable of completely collapsing a grown man's chest). To sprint they enter a quarduped position and run much like a cat would with the arms hitting first and swinging their legs around to make contact and push off. long distance running is done similarly to that of kangaroos but with more involvement of the arms. They have a long tail strong tail that can switch from a whip like flexibility to a ridgid stance that they use while moving for balance. walking for them looks like someone walking on those spring stilts as they have a bounce to their stepadn have excellent balance while moving but when standing still need to plant their tails to the ground in a tripod configuration to keep themselves still. Arms are much like humans maybe a bit longer propotionally aswell as the rest of the common biped appearance with their heads at the top of their shoulders and what not.

I was picturing it topping their heads and running down the back of their necks to the upper midback. they have fairly flat faces with no nose possessing nostrils in what we would consider their cheeks and a mix of sharp cutting teeth and flat grinding teeth due to being omnivorous and have larger foward facing eyes that have a semi clear protective lense that comes over when they run as well as traditional eyelds. Their ears are long (pointed or rounded doesn't really matter to me) but are rigdedly fit in place in a swept back position and aren't used for expression.

Back to their social behaviors (all this stuff is just off of my head and your welcome to change any of it if you'd like). Like I said the females are were the hunters so they tend to be the ones with the spatial skills and quick analytical skills while the males have higher multitasking ability and are the more nurturing of the two. Though the females are smaller they are faster and on their world speed is king so they developed into the hurter instead. Young are born in double fist sized eggs two eggs to a clutch and are born "premature" still requiring sustance from adults and take years to become sexualy viable and fully mature. as newly hatched infants the get sustance from both parents (though more often than not the father) through a milk like substance secreted from glands in the back of mouth (think kiss feeding). Both sexes possess these glands and are capable of nuturing but the duty often falles to the males who tend to have larger glands which take the appearance of a dewlap. They tend to be polygamist with a female to male ratio of around three or four to one and several females will have one "husband" to watch over the home and children while they work together to bring down prey/work. (I had a few ideas about intelligence, again if you don't like it feel free to cut it out/change what ever you want anon) While they are deffinately intelligent and sapient they tend to be on the dimmer side of things and are a bit slower to learn, however they have keen memories and very clear recall. I was going with the idea that they were uplifted by another xeno race before their brains had gotten quite to point where ours are but they were maybe a couple thousand years of evolution away from that.

Blind Daredevil Cave Dwellers
From a barren homeworld that on the surface seems devoid of anything living and incapable of life but beneath the crust are a honeycomb of cave networks and vast caverns where all the life of the world resides. The atmosphere inside of these caverns is much different from that of Earth's being heavily methane and carbon dioxide based and seaveral degrees warmer. The bottom of the food chain consists of fungus and bacteria that leech chemical sustainance from volcanic vents, dead creatures and the rock of the caverns themselves. Everything else feeds on them or the things the feed on them. The sapient residents are three to four foot bipeds that have no eyes what so ever but "see" by using sensor pits that make up the magority of their heads. These pits are covered by a tough thin membrane of skin and can detect many different things such as EM wave diferenves, wind shifts and air vibrations, bioelectrical fields, and even smells. The pits are so multi purpose and large that they take up the majority of the "Cranial cavity" and the brain is actually located in a boney incasement attach to the middle of the spine within the enlarged chest right behind the heart. They have no nose or ears, leaving the sensory pits to fill those roles and respiration takes place through vents along the back that lead directly to the lungs. The mouth isn't conected to the respritory tract and serves as nothing more than one of the two oriffices in the digestive tract (the second being the anus/cloaca). I'm debating between having no tounge or a prehensile one so I'll leave that up to you but they are toothless and swallow their food whole using unhingable jaws similar to a snake's. Their neck and chest cavity are extremely flexibly and are able to accomodate food and prey items roughly of equal size to the "head" of the individual eating but struggle with anything larger.

The vents used to beathe are made of internal ridged bone or cartilge tubes and are of varying length leading to the lungs. They have smooth muscles able to constrict off air flow and help with "vocalization" which to human ears would sound like the most complex whistling ever heard.They have difficulty emulating human like speech through these vents but are able to make some of the most complex songs and music through them that human ear have ever heard and would be hard to emulate without the use of instruments or devices. to communicate the don't use their mouths or facial expressions at all, those being too subtle for them to disern, however they use wide and sweeping body motions to convey expressions similar to those used by the human face. The cave dwellers have more simian like proportions with shorter legs and longer arms, and an over large chest with a slight hump back. Their hands and feet have blunt tipped digits and have gecko like adhesive pads that allow them to scale walls and ceilings. Their skin is a pale white color and most other races have trouble distiguishing individuals from one another. They vertually lack sexual dimorphism save for the females having slightly wider hips for birthing. They don't have mammary glands or any other form of external nourishing organs instead regurgitating half digested slurries for their young to eat. Adults reproduce sexually and give birth to live young that inter the world in a larval/tadpole like state where they are little mor than a fleshy grub like tube with a mouth, brain, lungs, air vents, guts, and cloaca, devolping everything else over the next several years. Both males and females possess a cloaca but to reproduce an internal tube within the male's cloaca to produce a very sensitive prehinsile tentacle-like phallus to deposite sperm. But here she was, sitting with the man that had saved her, going on a grand tour of the galaxy. And she couldn't think of anywhere else she would rather be. Maybe it was a little sappy, but she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. And John had given no indications that he was thinking any differently. Tash wasn't sure if she believed in the concept of true love, but if it existed, it had to be close to this. John was more than just a traveler who wanted a companion. He was her man.
