Its the year 2045.
You are the maintenance supervisor to your standard, average robot operated factory.
The machines you work with are not even close to the human like servant units or the hyper intelligent computers. They are equipment, only given basic sentience and personality.
As you walk across the production line you watch at the machinery work. Vaguely humanoid robots roll in their rails, doing their jobs.
However you've noticed lately that a unit has been behaving strangely. She wasn't anymore different than the others, you think to yourself as you walk towards her. Her yellow, metallic, rough edged body was shining in the factory's lights, black wiring showing underneath her limbs' joints. She turned her screen face to you, looking excited and rolled forward.
"Good morning, Supervisor Anon!"
She said, her black screen showing two oval white dots, resembling eyes.
You were a bit creeped out by her enthousiastic attitude but you found it a little bit cute. You chuckle a bit, taking a note on your clipboard and look up at her.
"Hello unit..umm.. number 2833. How are you feeling today?"
Luckily her number was printed on her torso. She however always thought you remembered her 'name'.
