Yeah, the whole idea to make the game take place in the sam world of my first game was heavily inspired by Lunar 2.
Just only about 20 years later and not hundreds of years!
All my games took huge inspiration from many RPGs I played growing up.
All spells and skills were directly taken from other games for example, I only made a few originals in all the years I made games.

Sorry anon, it's just... most of those ocs have a lot more to them then just kinks and sex appeal so we end getting interested and asking about/showing more than just the sexy stuff. Plus, its a lot more fun to draw, think about and see lewds of a character you care about then some random someone. If we did nothing but lewds it would get boring for the ones who contribute a lot quicker.

He is very apathetic, mostly because humans bore him, partially because most anything outside a fight interests him. He was conditioned for fighting. A generator is a great idea since the booru method gives OCs that have more pictures of it a greater chance while a generator would give everyone added to it the same odds. It would give some love to characters that desperately need it.

Hey /aco/ not sure where to post this. I've been drawing smut for the last few years. But I never finish anything, because I don't feel like it (inb4 finish what you start, I only do that with porn, in my work I always finish my projects). I draw while I fap, and when I'm done, I don't feel like continuing.
Also, I need to draw really, really fast to keep my mojo on, so in a lot of cases, anatomy is a bit off, or a lot of details are missing. A lot of those are barely readable.

I dont really know how to explain this easily, but I'll try.
I've actually had something similar where a couldn't accept how it takes me forever to draw stuff cause of reasons. Even the simplest of stuff. But then I seen that some people in the thread were dealing with similar problems, but they were still enjoying themselves. How?
And I think the thing is that everyone has things they worry about, and everyone has limitations for whatever reasons, but I think why they still keep going is cause they came to terms with their limitations and that it's ok for them to take forever to draw something, or that they suck at art. They're still gonna do what they love to do.
There's probably more to it, but this is how I feel it's about, cause when I came to that realization (as well as some others realizations) I'm cool with taking forever now. Yeah it'd like to go faster, but I'm not there yet. I'll get there eventually, but it's also alright right now, so I'm enjoying myself instead of worrying.

You have to find your own shortcuts. It takes time...There's no way around it. Be patient, learn as much as you can, about everything. Copy copy copy, train your eyes, draw perspective stuff and anatomy and flat illustrations. Try to always do what you hate (ex: I hate colors, so I spent a year drawing in colors only, refusing myself to draw outlines) until you get at least somewhat ok at it. Little by little, it'll come. You gotta hang in there and understand you climb a stairway step after step.

First, you have to enjoy the practice. Or else, your life will be shit, if you plan to be an artist. Being an artist is CONSTANT 24/7 PRACTICE!!! It's like saying "I don't like to draw". Makes no sense. Some exercises aren't fun, sure, but it's like a athlete that has to do push-ups. They aren't fun, but they sure feel good once you've finished.
Furthermore, you cannot *possibly* get worse if you practice. That you don't get better, sure. Sometimes, people stagnate. We all do. But you can't get *worse*. You're being overly negative.

No one runs at satanic speeds. Some people are more talented than others...A bit. But mostly, people who go at satanic speeds just work more. I've progressed, one time, at "satanic speeds" and left all my co-students in the dust. How? I drew almost every waking minute. Would sleep 4 hours a night. Would draw the rest of the time. I'd draw while walking in the street, while on the subway, while eating, and while talking to people. Just sketching sketching sketching non-stop. Then people wondered at my "talent". It's not talent, it's just fucking training. You do the training, you can lift the weight. You don't, you can't. As simple as that. Drawing is the most stupid thing ever. It just requires to draw a lot. Don't be so discouraged. It takes time. Be patient.

Actually, my art isn't that good. And what I described happened just last month, so not much has happened since then.
But basically all that happened is that I changed my mindset. it's ok if I take forever on art when I'm working on other stuff that needs done. And it's alright if my art aint that good. I'm not on par with other people, but I'll get there eventually.
I have limitations on what I can do, but 1) you don't have to be the best for people to like your stuff and 2) I'll become better as long as I try to push myself a little at a time.

Yeah, for a long while it isn't fun. But you have to find the fun somehow. It's different for each person, so I can't tell you where you'll find your own brand of fun. For me, it's forcing myself to try new shit. I never draw with gouache? Fine, I'll draw with Gouache. I tend to draw 3D-ish characters? I'll force myself to draw flat. For others, it's the sense of progress, which takes a while but eventually always hits. You do the same stuff a million times, and then some day, something "clicks". And then you make a jump and you feel super good about yourself. Then you stall again for months, or sometimes years. That's how it is for most artists I know. We progress by jump-stop-jump.

Yeah, but that's the mark of inexperience. That's why training is important. Your output must be consistently good. Of course, there are days where I draw better than others, but I don't anymore have those "good drawings" and "bad drawings". If I need to, I will do a good drawing, no matter how much my hand is not obeying me. It's my job. I can't tell my client "uh, sorry, I was not able to draw". You must be able to construct a drawing in your head and shit it on paper, as close as possible to what you're thinking of. And to do that, no other way but training.

Without wanting to be fakely gentle...Pretty much, yeah. Again, that's what an artist's life *IS*. It never stops. It never slows down (unless you're a poor artist). You keep practicing. But, again, I am certain, certain, that if you push yourself, you'll find the fun. I teach drawing for a living. I've had a lot of students, not all passionate, not all good. Everyone "clicks". Everyone. Give yourself time, and go through the classical exercises.

Yeah it does sound like fear is getting in the way. And I dont really know why your doodles would come out better than your "putting effort in" stuff, but I assume it's cause doodles are for fun and they dont need to look good, so there's no worry and you can do quick smooth strokes and lines without worring about how it will look. But when you're full of worry cause our effort stuff has to look good, the worry can really screw with your performance.
And that 10/10 thing sounds like an untrue assumption. I heard this one thing where you could test assumptions by doing things to sort of "stack the deck" against the assumption, and and if it still seems true then maybe it is, but if you can debunk it, then cool it's not as bad as you thought at all. Actually, what you need to do is understand you WANT to fail. Embrace failure. Failure means you're getting better. I had a friend who'd never really put in the effort. He had talent, but always hid behind "yeah, it's not bad, but I did this quickly..." until one time I yelled at him and told him he was a fucking sissy, that he should stop "doing things quickly" and actually put in the effort, and see how NOT GOOD the result would be. He did. It was not good. He trained. He got better. He's now the youngest director of animation in a mildly known studio in Korea, working on a full feature (I think he may be the only non-korean doing that), he's an awesome artist, much better than I am. He left me way behind, but the price he had to pay is no friends, no life, nothing but animating until exhaustion, year after year, without taking a weekend. This was a lazy guy, not willing to work, not willing to let go of nightclubs and partying. But he understood that if he was ever to be good, that's what he had to do.
What I mean to say with this story is: do your best, and fail. Pick yourself up, do your best again, and fail again. Do that as many times as needed until you get gud. Don't expect to be a remotely ok artist without working hard. NO ONE is gifted. Any good artist has paid his skill with sweat and tears. And they've all failed. Repeatedly. Don't be afraid of doing shit. It's *normal* to do shit. Keep on doing shit until it's less shit.

Very good points. The "classical" exercises are all the stuff you'll find in Youtube tutorials "how to draw", and in all the regular books. It basically breaks down into (my personal view on this):
- Train your wrist, elbow, and wrist: draw circles and parallel lines. Fill pages and pages of circles and parallel lines
- Train your eyes to see: do real-life sketches. Both very short (30s~1mn) and longer studies (5~10mn).
- Build a mental library of stuff: copy. Each time you see an artist doing something right (regardless of your personal liking), copy. A good exercise is to copy, then use tracing paper and trace the drawing, put the tracing paper over your copy, and see where you got things wrong. Then hide the original drawing, and copy once again, this time from memory (also works with photos).
- Develop imagination and skills: force yourself to do things out of your boundaries. A good rule of the thumb (not always applicable) is: try to NEVER draw the same thing twice. You've drawn a head from the front view? That's it. You'll never draw a head from the front view again.
As for how much practice you need, it's up to you. If you want to be among the best, you need to pretty much not do anything else but draw draw draw like a robot. I, for one, want to have fun too, so I train a good bunch, but I still have a life. I draw at least 1H a day now. When I was younger, more like 3.
Analytical skills, how to develop them:
1 - Flip your drawing often. I constantly flip (yes, even with real paper - use a lighting table)
2 - Stop what you're doing, and work on something else. Come back to your drawing the next day with fresh eyes
3 - Spend time on some drawings. Like, it's fine to do a drawing in 30mn, but every now and then, spend 3 days on a drawing. Improve it. Once you feel it's done, google search for similar settings/moods/characters/poses. Draw it again, make it better, Repeat.

To give you an idea, Glenn Keane, the genius behind Beauty And The Beast, Alladin, Tangled, and so on, you know? A monster of anatomy, one of the last true masters. Very few are his equal in pure technical skills.
That guy spent A FULL MONTH going every day to the museum and drawing classical greek statues ALL DAY to train on muscles and shapes before doing the Beast transformation scene. A MONTH of every day training for 10s of animation. And that guy is in the top 3 of the best artists ever. He was 40 when he did that. With a shitload of experience behind him.
That's how much you train if you want to be really good.
Picasso, until the day of his death, did ONE HOUR of nude study per DAY. one. hour. of drawing naked chicks and guys. per. day. That's after he was an accomplished artist. I mean, at 14, the guy drew better than I ever will.
So, again, it all depends on how good you wanna be. You want to be really good? You're gonna have to dedicate your life to it. You want to be good enough? You'll still have to work hard, but it's manageable.

Actually yeah, sorry, I forgot, you should definitely draw from your imagination too, of course. But, IMHO, before you reach a comfortable level, it's good to not spend too much time drawing your own stuff. You might build a style based on wrong knowledge of anatomy and construction, and it will be hard to shed behind. I drew Dragon Ball for years before learning proper drawing, and damn it was hard to not draw Dragon Ball later. For years I had to force myself to draw in styles that were not my own, just to manage to let go of the bad habits I got.
Flipping drawings gives you a better perspective. It allows you to see symmetry problems better. The stuff you can't see because you're too much "into it", but that you'd notice if someone else was drawing, you will notice if you flip. It's not bullet-proof though, you'll still miss a bunch of things (which is why having friends/internet peers/teachers is important), but it's better than nothing.

I don't know how to help you anon with this one, I'd need to see the drawings. But something that may (or may not help), instead of improving, draw again. Try to not use an eraser at all. Use only felt-tip pens, or something similar, where you have to commit. Try to get the line right from the first time. You won't. No matter, go on. Try to complete the drawing the best you can. Then take a new sheet of paper, draw it again, better this time.
I'm not saying you should always do that, nor that it is a definitive solution, but it might be *a* solution. I personally never use erasers. I just draw, then pull a new layer over, and draw again. But I don't trace; I use the faint trace of the below layer to have an idea, but I still re-draw, until I get my main shapes, volumes, and composition right. Only then do I begin to detail. Maybe that'll work for you too.
Alternatively, show a bit of your stuff, then I can tell you better what to focus on

Dude, I've been working in the industry since I'm 14, I'm 33 now, I ask questions to people better than me all the time. I post my shit in WIP threads always and ask people how I can do better. I get peers and masters that are at a higher level to correct my drawings with red brushes as if I was a student just beginning. Who gives a shit. That's a mark of professionalism.
You want to improve, you gotta get used to be out there with your stuff. Show it show it show it, get burned because it sucks, do better, show it again. That's how it works.
If I wanted to hire a designer/animator in my studio and a google search showed him asking question in forums, getting criticism and improving, you can bet your ass his resume flips on top of the guy who doesn't.
I've hired a lot, designers and developers, I can assure you a junior who can learn beats a senior who's stale any day of the week in my book. No, just do your grid on a paper under, and use that as guidelines. If you're not very good with perspective, do a tight grid so you get a lot of lines to help you, if you're ok, draw a spaced grid. Eventually you won't need a grid at all (but it takes some years).
