It's not like any of that stuff has to be checked in real time, you would only need to update each store's inventory each time it changes (due to sales or thefts), and update each NPC's inventory each time they buy/steal something, and update their cash each time they buy/steal something or earn new money elsewhere. The reason I haven't stuck with any one project is because they fail the one thing I ask for. Show me a general out line of your story or arch or something so that I know what to draw.
